Supersized is a jQuery plugin that automatically resizes (background) images to the size of the browser while maintaining image dimension ratio and runs them as a slideshow. jqFancyTransitions

jqFancyTransitions is a jQuery plugin for displaying images as a slideshow with fancy effects. It has support for 3 transitions: wave, zipper & curtain but they can be diversified with the ability of setting the position & direction of the animations.

    You also should take a look at the Nivo Slider at http://nivo.dev7studios.com/. It’s quite nice and is easy to use.
