<p>OpenLayers is a pure JavaScript library for displaying map data in most modern browsers, without any dependencies on the server side. OpenLayers implements a JavaScript API to create rich Web applications, geographic, like <strong>Google Maps</strong> and MSN Virtual Earth <strong>API</strong>, with one important difference &#8211; OpenLayers <strong>free</strong> <strong>software </strong>developed and <strong>open source software</strong>.</p>
